Volunteer With Us!
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are always on the lookout for top quality talent to volunteer with our programs. The great thing about volunteering with Border Youth Athletic Association is that you DO NOT have to have any experience, we can train you!
We have several different ways for you to volunteer. Take a look below to see what interests you!
We like to tell everyone that we have the best coaches in town and you can join our programs in becoming a coach! Two of our programs are looking for coaches, BASE Play RBI and Chihuahuas NeXt.
Our BASE Play RBI coaches offer mentorship and skills development to players in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Here, the basic skills such as hitting, catching, and throwing are taught while emphasizing character development and academic accountability. This program is provided in far east El Paso as a partnership with the Clint Independent School District.
To volunteer as a BASE Play RBI coach please follow the 3 following steps:

Our Chihuahuas NeXt program, in partnership with the El Paso Chihuahuas Triple-A Baseball Team, is currently offered to baseball and softball players from the ages of 6-18. There are two separate leagues under Chihuahuas NeXt, a high school league and a westside instructional league. The high school league is for area high school and baseball teams to compete during the summer months to prepare for the upcoming spring season. The westside instruction league is for young ladies that would like to move to the next level in softball and coaches begin to teach advanced offensive and defensive movements and game strategy.

An umpire has the best seat in the house and can be the most enjoyable volunteer position with the right training and personality.
We have two ways for you to start volunteering with us at BYAA as an umpire. 1. If you have experience, please complete the volunteer form by clicking on the “Volunteer Here” button below. 2. We have wonderful umpires in El Paso that volunteer their time at our games but also as trainers for our rookies at NO COST!
Our training sessions typically occur on three consecutive weekends with the final weekend done as a practical experience at during one of our league scrimmage weekends.
Keep an eye out for our next umpiring clinic and join us in volunteering with our RBI Programs, BASE Play and Chihuahuas NeXt!
