Our High School Leagues

Beginning in June of 2017, BYAA successfully ran a baseball and softball summer league for area high school teams and aspiring collegiate baseball and softball players. For a very low entry fee, BYAA provided a league schedule, certified umpires, balls for each game, shirts for each team, and scorekeepers. High school summer teams were given the opportunity to play on their home fields during home games.

In all, 131 games were played between 26 teams in baseball and six games for three teams in softball. Of those baseball players who participate in the league, 40 were chosen to play in our Chihuahuas NeXt All-Star game at Southwest University Park. The game was attended by over 1,000 El Pasoans.

The summer 2018 high school instructional season is expected to serve approximately 600 El Paso baseball players and 150 softball players from area high schools which in turn, expands the baseball league to 30 teams and the softball league to 10 teams. If you are interested in participating in our league, please use the contact information found at the bottom of this webpage.

Below, you will see which high school teams who are participating in the most current season. A game schedule can be found on the Chihuahuas NeXt calendar page.
